This is a custom skate sharpening with a regular hollow cut. Does not include a custom radius.
Note: If you are sending in brand new out of the box steel that has never been sharpened before, the cost to sharpen new steel is not $6.75, it is $20.25. So you must order 3 of these regular sharpening's to get the proper price.
Note: A normal sharpening does not include removal of deep nicks, chips or gouges. Extra fees may apply. We inspect each blade, if we think they are OK to skate on with no performance problems, we'll do a normal sharpening and ship them back to you. If you know your blades are in bad shape, you can select the "Remove Deep Nicks and Gouges" option.
Note: Even though the webstore allows "Blade Matching" to be selected with this sharpening as an option, we will not do it and your card will not be charged the additional $20 if you select it. Blade matching can only be done with a custom radius. If you think you need matching, do not add this to your cart, go back to the shopping are and order a custom radius and select the blade matching option there..

Sharpenings, always consistent
Getting sharpenings here for 3 years now. Their work has always been very good and consistent. Turn around time is also. If they are going to be away for holiday or other reasons, it is posted on their web site.

Not as good a job
I use this service and love it and I will continue to use it. However, this last sharpening there are several nicks that were missed and not smoothed out. They were wrapped and shipped properly so they must have been missed. John, glad you like our service. Just wanted to say that during a sharpening all nicks are not always taken out. To remove a deep nick, a lot of steel has to be ground away. If we were to always remove them, your steel would not last long and it could make your left blade out of balance with your right. Generally, you can have many nicks on your blades and it will not effect skating. If you have something you can feel, circle it with a marker and we can try to get it out for you next time. Thanks.

5/16" hollow
Have not skated for years because I could not find locally anyone to properly sharpen my blades. I'm very picky when it comes to my skate sharpening. Online search found No Icing sports and used their sharpening services. They performed the sharpening service with excellent results.
