Product Description
See our ZChannel info page on our website, www.noicingsports.com
Note: The Channel does not have to be directly in the middle of the blade. If it is offset on your blades it will not effect anything and performs exactly the same as if the channel was in the center, similar to how the side treads on your tires perfom the same as the center treads.

Z-Channel is FANTASTIC
For years I have skated with the conventional ROH of either 7/16" or 1/2" and last year a friend I play hockey with introduced me to the FBV. I first tried FBV 9/16 (100/50 = 1/2") and was impressed with the improved glide and edge. I switched to FBV 5/8 (90/75 = 5/8") because I felt my blades were too sharp and I was occasionally catching edges. I really liked the FBV 5/8 but was curious about the Z-Channel. I tried the Z-C 4 (5/8") and was immediately impressed. The Z-C 4 has improved glide and better control in tight turns than the FBV 5/8 or 9/16. I feel like I've got more control in turns and I'm not working as hard to go full speed. On the ice the Z-C 4 (5/8") feels like it is a 7/16" ROH in tight turns. Z-Channel is the best. I will never get any other sharpening than Z-C ever again and I can't recommend Bob and No-Icing enough. Incredible. I almost want to keep this a secret from the other guys my league.

Bob is a Pro!
Best sharpening on my skates ever. I used this service for about 5 year now. I will never use anyone else. I use the Z-Channel sharpening on my skates with the Black Magic Finish and get a great grip on the ice. Bob takes his sharpening serious. Total Pro in my book!

Excellent Sharpening Method from an Excellent Shop!
I skated alot in high school and college, then after a 8 year hiatus, I am back at it. With a little more money at my disposal, I needed to choose between a standard radius, FBV, and Z-Channel. No Icing was great to work with, they answered all my questions and showed excellent patience as I tried the multiple sharpenings. Z-Channel was the obvious winner, it gives me the best glide with the best grab. I weigh 200lbs and skate on very poorly maintained ice. No Icing helped me find the perfect Z-Channel sharpening. Guys my same size, on the same ice, couldn't go bigger than 5/8 standard radius and keep enough grab. Also, the most glidy FBV setting, had too much drag. With Z-Channel I can have more glide than both standard radius and FBV, and also have more grab when turning. The service at No Icing cannot be beat. From Utah I can have my blades sharpened and returned in 4 business days total! I will never trust anyone else again with sharpening my blades.

Bob is the only one I'd trust with my skates
After several frustrating sharpenings at a local place (trying to support local business) I finally had enough. Been sending my blades to Bob for 8 or 9 years now and wouldn't even think about letting someone else touch them. It is convenient (delivered to my door) and they are right every time. The z-channel sharpening gives me the control I want and a durable edge. Pro-level skate service for the rest of us!

BEST skate sharpening EVER!
I've been using the ZC sharpening since it No Icing first started offering it and No Icing Sports for sharpening for about 8 years. The No Icing sharpenings are the most consistent, longest lasting sharpenings you can get. The ZC is my favorite!
