Product Description
This is a custom skate sharpening with a regular hollow cut. Does not include a custom radius.
Note: If you are sending in brand new out of the box steel that has never been sharpened before, the cost to sharpen new steel is not $6.75, it is $20.25. So you must order 3 of these regular sharpening's to get the proper price.
Note: A normal sharpening does not include removal of deep nicks, chips or gouges. Extra fees may apply. We inspect each blade, if we think they are OK to skate on with no performance problems, we'll do a normal sharpening and ship them back to you. If you know your blades are in bad shape, you can select the "Remove Deep Nicks and Gouges" option.
Note: Even though the webstore allows "Blade Matching" to be selected with this sharpening as an option, we will not do it and your card will not be charged the additional $20 if you select it. Blade matching can only be done with a custom radius. If you think you need matching, do not add this to your cart, go back to the shopping are and order a custom radius and select the blade matching option there..

Perfect
Went from a 1/2" to 9/16" hollow for spring/summer ice. Could tell the difference immediately. Great adjustment, very presice.

Great as usual
We're enthusiastic users of the Sharpen by Mail service. My goalie son has 2 sets of steel - when it's time to sharpen, we pop it out, drop it in an envelope, put in the sharpened set, and in a few days the original steel comes back perfectly sharpened to our specifications. We rest easy knowing they're professionally sharpened, no hassles, and it's nice to have a backup set just in case.
