Custom Combination Radius on steel you are purchasing today

Since utilizing your custom radius and sharpening by mail, this "old dog" is moving like he's only forty. Bob and his staff have made a difference in my speed and maneuverability that my teammates notice. Since I play both forward and defense his combination radius is the best of both worlds. At 63 I can still run with the youngsters. This fall I let my local guy try to combo radius and the result was a broken runner. Too much heat and the first shot I blocked was my last shift that night. And those skates felt slow. No more locals on my runners! I'm rotating two sets from now on. Great and consistent skates are a pleasure .

I have been getting my blades done here for a few years now and have always been impressed with the service. The blades come quickly and the edge and custom radius recommended by the staff have greatly improved my skating. I didn't think I would notice much of a difference, but very quickly I could tell I was much more comfortable on the ice.

I'm not a great skater. I'm not even a good skater. I generally get by decently for someone who is chained to a desk all week and started ice hockey in his mid 30s after a 16 year break from being roller goalie. This custom radius combined with a FBV immediately improved my skating. I can transition from forward to backward without losing speed and can actually skate backward for the first time. Unlike the factory radius (which wasn't matched at all) and a conventional hollow my edges are meaningful for the first time since I started playing.

Picked up a set of STEP steel with the custom radius. Been skating for years but always went with the stock radius with standard ROH sharpenings. Tried FBV from a local shop but did not really like it. After skating in the new runners with the custom radius, it's like a night a day difference. I feel like my skating has improved greatly. I felt faster and more agile after getting it done. I will be truthful and say that I have never skated on the STEP steel without the custom radius, so I don't know how much of a difference that made. But I have tried FBV and it didn't feel that much different. I ended up getting a custom radius with the stock LS2 runners that came with my skates. They felt great too. But I can tell the difference between the different runners as far as height and how long they stayed sharp. I have recommended this to all of my friends.

I can honestly say that the difference between a normal hollow and Radius, or the manufacturing default and Noicing's custom sharpening w/ combination radius and FBV is day and night. Getting back after 15 or so years of being off ice, I have lost all the confidence to make the maneuvers I used to make then, and to some degree lost some my abilities, effectively stopping in particular. I received my blades the day of the game, mounted them and played with them...and man, I am back on track. I am making familiar moves with confidence and realizing once again the abilities I know I have. Many thanks to Bob who personally handled my order and saw to it that I got what I needed to get back on the game. I impressed with Noicing's due diligence in providing detailed questionnaire to accurately asses players in order to provide the appropriate product that gives a player the best possible chance to succeed. I have been used to just being asked what position I play or how much I weigh, but how you play a position and what you do with that weight is another story.

Talked to Bob about what I wanted and what my options were. He was very knowledgeable, and I couldn't be happier with the runners I got. I have since purchased several additional pairs of steel.

Bob recommended the 8/13' combination radius along with the FBV 9/16 (100/50). I have to say I did feel like I was skating faster and my turns are tight. I may try a slightly less sharp FBV somewhere in between the FBV 9/16 and the FBV 5/8. When I got these in the mail I felt I could have shaved with them. I've only played 2 games on them and the second game I didn't have as much of the feeling that they were too sharp. It may have been me needing to get used to the combination radius which is a first for this old dog plus the FBV, 2 changes at once! By the end of the first game they felt good. All in all with my limited ice time on these I believe I can highly recommend both the FBV and the combo radius.

switching from the standard 9 foot Bauer radius to the combo radius recommended by Bob. I instantly noticed better speed and tighter turns I will be buying another set of runners soon.

great not having to trial and error initial blade set up is fantastic - combination radius and fbz were identical to old steel and perform great and knowing I can get consistent each time for extra sets - perfect .
