We take stock blades and customize them with a combination rocker radius tailored just for you. The combination radius can significantly improve your skating, even more than a traditional single custom radius. You no longer have to sacrifice speed for turning or vice verse, the combination radius maximizes the runner for top performance in all aspects of skating. This radius includes the initial skate sharpening as it is included with purchase of runners. If you are an existing No-Icing customer and know your blade specs, simply select them from the drop down menus and place your order. If you are a new customer, email us for an interview form so we can evaluate your skating and customize your radius and hollow for you. If you don't need to fill out an interview and know the settings you want, choose them from the menu and place your order. After you place this radius in the cart, you must go back and order the steel for your skates.

Fast, affordable and informative
After submitting the skater questionnaire I got a detailed email explaining exactly what sharpening in combination radiuswould suit me best and why. As a new skater in a small city in the southeastthis information and quality sharpened is not something available to me locally. The blades arrived quickly and instantly made a profound difference in my skating. I am a customer for life.

I had Bob modify my new Blackedge blades per his recommendations and I was extremely happy with them. The blades felt very strange initially, but once I got used to them I was flying. Thank you Bob!!!

first time with a custom radius
this is the first time I've had a custom radius done on my skates, and they feel phenomenal. I got the combo radius and there was no adjustment period for me, it felt better the second I stepped on ice. for me I wont go back to using the stock radius and a local cut

First custom radius
I have never had a custom radius done and I will tell you, it has already shown me why this is important to get the most out of my skates and play style. I have only one game on them and there is some adjustment time. I also have the FBV on them and that in and of itself is a little to adjust to. I don't want to say I don't like the sharpening yet until I fully forget all of the muscle memory I have on my old runners. I remember when I went from bauer to graf there was some adjustment time. With that said, I am not sure if this radius is form me yet or needs to be adjusted yet. To describe my experience: I hit the ice and it felt really strange at first. Once I got to feel the runners capability for a bit, I was better. The only real thing that bugged me was I felt the runner sharpening style was a but grabby on the ice when I was gliding slow. Overall, I trust the guys here and they do a pretty spot on evaluation before they shape a blade. I was very impressed. Like I said, what your skates can do is subconscious.. You need to understand it takes some getting used to to change your habits and what you feel..
