This radius option is for those customers who are sending us brand new unsharpened stainless steel off their skates or from a package of replacement runners they purchased elsewhere.
We take stock blades and customize them with a triple combination rocker radius tailored just for you. This special radius has great turning, but is maximized for straight out speed, balance and stability. This combination radius can significantly improve your skating, even more than a traditional custom radius or other combinations.. You no longer have to sacrifice speed for turning or vice verse, the combination radius maximizes the runner for top performance in all aspects of skating but leans more toward speed. This radius includes a normal skate sharpening. If you are an existing No-Icing customer and know your blade specs, simply select them from the drop down menus and place your order. If you are a new customer, email us for an interview form so we can evaluate your skating and customize your radius and hollow for you. If you don't need to fill out an interview and know the settings you want, choose them from the menu and place your order.
Note: If you are sending in unsharpened Black coated steel, this is the wrong radius to order. We don't have a separate Radius option just for black unsharpened steel. They do take much more labor to take DLC off the bottom and to sharpen, so our surcharge for those is $30. How you order is to choose a "Black DLC sharpening option" along with a regular Triple Combo Radius on Sharpened steel to come up with the right pricing. The Black steel sharpening option can be found in the Sharpening Options Category. Any Black coated steel except STEP and CCM brand Black requires the surcharge. Some examples of Black steel are Blackedge, Tydan, Massive, Bauer LS5, Blade Tech and any DLC coated steel that's fully coated and on the bottom.
