There is an alternative for Step Blacksteel runners for Bauer skates.  They are made by TYDAN. Canadian made, tall like Steps,  and has the same DLC coating as STEP.  If you look at the picture below you will see the similarity. One difference many customers prefer about Tydans is that their toe/heel areas are not as bulky and flat, more tapered, and generally do not require extra shaving that many people who buy Steps have to have done for the runners to feel comfortable.
